ABOUT ME

I am a photographer based in New York City and Nashville, Tennessee.

Growing up in Nashville’s Bible Belt—simultaneously defined by evangelical conservatism and honky-tonk excess—shaped my exploration of shame, desire, heritage, and visual contradiction. This opposition between “sin” and “sanctity” is fascinating. I borrow the visual grammar of retro advertisements and religious iconography—flattening depth, being confrontational. This tension mirrors my own reckoning with the region: traversing the documentary and parody. I embody stereotypes in my work, interrogating photography’s role in perpetuating or dismantling cultural myths. My work isn’t an indictment or endorsement, it is a conversation—like a barstool debate that lingers past last call.
